We’re not letting summer go without our annual end-of-season party. Celebrate with your church family at the Holy Smoke-out Summer Bash, Sunday, August25, beginning at 4 p.m. (We’ll eat around 5 p.m.) Several of our master barbecuers will be smoking meats for the main course and competing for the “grand” prize.
Details: Bring some side dishes to share. Bring your table service and lawn chairs. (We will have extra table service if you forget.) We’ll also have inflatables for the kids.
Needs: We are looking for some volunteers who will help us set up tables and tents on Sunday afternoon about 2:30 p.m. We also need someone to bring about six bags of ice. And we’d love to have someone organize a corn hole tournament or something similar for the grown-up crowd. If you are interested in smoking meat or helping in any way, please contact the church of- fice or see Pastor Tom directly.
Please join us this Sunday, August 11, as we celebrate together the beginning of a new school year! We invite ALL students (preschool through college) and educators to bringtheir backpacks and workbags as we ask God’s blessing on the school year ahead.
Join us for either the 9 or 10:30 worship service. All children and youth will begin in worship; programming for both groups will be available after the blessing during the 10:30 worship hour.
The youth mission team is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner next Thursday, February 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for children (aged 3 to 12), $12 for adults; 2 and under eat free. Carryout is available!
You may purchase pre-sale tickets at a table in the lobby this Sunday, from a youth, or from Youth Directors Jim and Rebecca Krupar. Cash or check is accepted. Checks should be written to LCUMC; mark the memo line: “Youth Spaghetti Dinner.” Tickets will also be available at the door.
Funds raised will benefit this summer’s youth mission trip to Oklahoma.

Parenting Class Offered Sunday Evenings
A 6-week parenting class, Parental Guidance Required, based on a book by Christian pastor and author Andy Stanley, begins Sunday, February 10, and continues through Sunday, March 17. Sessions will run from 6-7p or immediately following the THRIVE worship 5:00-6:00
Sessions are designed to help parents enhance, advance, and influence their children’s relationships. Each session will begin with a 15 minute video, followed by sharing and casual conversation. Childcare will be provided upon request.

You’re invited to our annual Children’s Christmas Pageant, Sunday, December 23, at 4 p.m.
Highlights will include the LCUMC Kids’ Choir, dancing angels, talking animals, wise men who can hip hop, and, of course, the baby Jesus.
Please join us after the performance for refreshments and a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Trunk or Treat, our annual Fall party, is just around the corner! Bring the kids, bring your neighbors, decorate your cars, and join us for a celebration of the season, Sunday, October 28th. We’ll begin at 4:30 with entertainment by Jeremy the Juggler, then adjourn to the parking lot for trunks full of treats. A light meal and pumpkin decorating will follow. Children of all ages are invited to join us!

You have the opportunity to vote for your favorite smoked flavors with dollars for the Kingdom Campaign. Winner receives the Golden BBQ Mop - selected by Pastor Phil.

It's time for the annual Easter Party at the church. All members of the community are invited to join us as the kids chase eggs while the parents enjoy one another's fellowship. There will even be a special visit by the Easter Bunny!
