Youth Discipleship

Youth Fellowship is just the beginning.

At Lewis Center United Methodist Church we create an environment in which youth can experience love, develop faith, and serve others – all while making and deepening friendships.

Our vision is to be a healthy, growing, spiritually vital, risk-taking place of ministry, through which together with God we can make and equip disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

ENCOUNTER

We Expect God To Be In This Place

A full worship service with youth, co-led by youth. Each service will include a message addressing topics youth wish to explore or based on the theme shared with the entire church. Encounter meets during our 10:30am service on Sundays. Ask our greeting team about the location on our church campus.

YOUTH GROUP

Sunday Nights. You're Invited.

All youth grades 6-12 are invited to participate in service projects, fun games, interactive faith building, fellowship, and Bible lessons for real life. Whatever we do, we're building friendships with God and each other.

Middle School Youth Group (6th-8th Grade) meets the first & third Sunday of each month from 6 to 8pm.

High School Youth Group (9th-12th Grade) meets the second & fourth Sunday of each month from 6-8pm.

CONFIRMATION CLASS

It's your faith journey. Claim it. Live it.

Confirmation is an opportunity for youth to claim for themselves their identity as children of God, their faith in Jesus Christ, and their commitment to the Church.  During Confirmation classes, youth will expand their circle of friends, discover what it means to live as a disciple of Jesus, learn the mission and organization of the church, and in the process have a lot of fun.  The Confirmation experience creates an environment in which young people can make for themselves significant spiritual decisions.  Any youth in 7th grade or older may participate. Information on our next confirmation offering to be announced.
