Pastor Tom has been serving churches in the West Ohio Conference since 1974 and served the West Ohio Conference as a District Superintendent from 2001 – 2006. He has also been an instructor for persons training to serve churches as local pastors.
Pastor Tom earned his bachelor’s degree from Taylor University in 1975, his Master of Divinity in 1978 and his Doctor of Ministry in 1985, both from United Theological Seminary. His Doctor of Ministry focused on mobilizing missions in local churches. Along with his degrees, Pastor Tom holds a certification a church business administrator from the National Institute of Church Finance and Administration.
Pastor Tom and Cathy are excited to be welcoming grandchild number seven in June and have three grown children. Some of Pastor Tom’s hobbies include music, sports, and computers while Cathy enjoys music and crafts.
Amy Dunlop has served as Children’s Ministry Director since 2006. She and her husband Rick are the parents of two children, Lucy and Jack, who are students at Olentangy High School and Shanahan Middle School, respectively. Prior to entering the ministry, Amy worked as a high school English teacher for several years, then full-time mom for several more. She loves her current role and is passionate about helping children understand they are created and loved by God and leading them into a relationship with their Creator.
Leslie Butler has served as Youth Ministry Director since 2011. She grew up in Michigan in a large United Methodist Church with a very strong, sizeable youth group, which is what led her to the ministry she is in today. Leslie resides in Westerville with her two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Leslie's passion is serving God through missions and sharing that passion with the youth of this church.
Debra has worked in the offices of Lewis Center UMC since August 2008. She lives in Lewis Center with her husband Ron. They were both born and raised in Pittsburgh but chose to move to Columbus to be closer to their three grown children and soon to be six young and energetic grandchildren. She is the voice you speak to on the phone and the face that greets you when you enter the offices at Lewis Center. Ron and Deb have a strong Christian faith and she is thrilled to be doing something that puts her in the path of serving the Lord everyday.
Tamara is entering her 10th year as Worship Director with LCUMC and the time has flown past! Tamara has a great passion for working with aspiring and seasoned musicians of all ages to bring out their God given artistic/musical gifts. Her goal is that everyone involved can feel confident that they are offering their utmost in order to provide a meaningful worship experience for all those in attendance. You will see her each Sunday as she directs our Sanctuary Choir, Adult Hand Bell Choir, “The Band” (contemporary musicians), soloists and various vocal and instrumental ensembles. Members of our musical program bond and fellowship as they hone their skills and grow their faith through music. We are most welcoming to seasoned and new members alike as we love to encourage one another.
Tamara is an alum of The Ohio State University; having earned her degrees in Vocal Education and Vocal Performance. She and her husband Frank live in Gahanna; the parents of 4 children, 1 Daughter & 2 Sons “in –law”, and 2 grandchildren (who keep them on their toes!). She has served in the capacity as Director of Worship with a few other local congregations for over 35 years.
Danielle Becker holds an Early Childhood teaching license in PS-3rd grade and has been in the field of early childhood education for 16 years. She loves what she does! She and her husband have two growing boys and love the Lewis Center community. They are church members here at LCUMC and have been since 2010.
