MUSIC

Welcome to Lewis Center UMC! We invite you to become a part of our Music Ministry, as we lift our praises to God! Music can minister to the soul in ways the spoken word cannot. We have various opportunities in which you can participate, such as Sanctuary Choir, Handbell Choir, and special vocal and/or instrumental solos and ensembles.  Our goal is to encourage people to share their musical gifts in praise of God; to enrich the worship experience; and to grow the talents of participants.  For more information contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Sanctuary Choir (adult choir)
Rehearsals - Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m., September-May
Extended and extra rehearsals are added in preparation for Christmas, October-December

Sanctuary Choir aids in leading our worship services by offering Choral Anthems, Introits, Amen Responses, and various music specials. All singers are encouraged to come to rehearsal and share their gifts of music with our congregation. Even if you cannot attend rehearsal every week, you are encouraged to join us when you can. This vibrant group works hard and enjoys their time together! Like to sing? Give us a try! We welcome you!

JuBELLant Praise Ringers (adult handbell choir)
Rehearsals - Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m., September-May
Extended and extra rehearsals are added in preparation for Christmas, October-December

JuBELLant Praise Ringers add to our worship by sharing anthems and selections approximately once a month.  You do not need to have handbell experience to join us for rehearsals.  We would warmly welcome you to our ranks! We are growing and excited to share our passion for music!

Special Opportunities to Share Your Musical Gifts
Other vocal and instrumental opportunities in which you may participate are available as well. If you play an instrument (or "used" to play one), or if you like to sing in small group or solo settings, please speak with Tamara about the possibility of sharing your gifts with our congregation.

ARTS COUNCIL

The Lewis Center UMC Arts Council provides opportunities for people to use their acting and performing skills to enhance worship occasionally and to participate in an annual fun, family-friendly production.

"Madam's Been Murdered, Tea Will Be Late", a light-hearted mystery set in an old English manor, is the 2012 production.  The show is scheduled for March 9, 10, 11.  For more information contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
