CHILDREN'S WORSHIP (Sunday School)
Concurrent with our 10:00 worship in the sanctuary, the children gather at LEWIE’S CENTER for age
appropriate, interactive learning of the stories of Jesus. At the preschool level, we offer traditional
classes for 2’s and 3’s, as well as 4’s and 5’s. At the elementary level, we embrace the multiple
intelligences theory of learning by employing a rotational workshop model. Over a month’s time, our
children experience a different workshop each week which allows the Bible stories to come alive in
many different ways.

JULY
Children's Summer Event. Vacation Bible School, July 19-23, 2010, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This year's theme is High Seas Expedition. Children ages 3 through rising 5th graders are welcome to

AUGUST
End of Summer festival – worship outside, picnic dinner, bouncy
houses, music, games, all kinds of fun events.! AUGUST 30th is our 2009 Festival!
SEPTEMBER
We celebrate Bible Sunday by presenting our 3rd graders with their own Bibles during the
morning worship services.
OCTOBER
The church’s annual Trunk or Treat – when the children dress up in
their masquerade costumes and parade through the parking lot of cars parked with the trunks to the center –
decorated and filled with prizes for the children! Fun, games, and food are a part!
CHRISTMAS EVE
4:30pm is our special children’s Christmas Eve service –
targeted just for children. Stories, songs, and glow in the dark sticks create the atmosphere of candlelight
on this most holy of nights.
EASTER
Easter Bash is a children’s event the day before Easter Sunday.
Stories, games, music, crafts, food and and EASTER EGG HUNT are all the fun!
Mission & Service
In recent summers, the Vacation Bible School children have donated stuffed
bears and turtles, as well as soccer balls to Operation Kid-to-Kid, an
international outreach program.
Volunteers
Our ministry is built upon a dedicated and caring team of adult and youth volunteers. To ensure the
safety of our children, everyone who volunteers in our program has undergone a background check conducted
by an independent agency. We typically ask for a month-long commitment from our volunteers and have a
variety of roles from which to choose.
Child Care
Loving care for infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age is available in our nursery concurrent with
our 10:00 worship in our nursery, which is located near the front entrance of the church – near the sanctuary!
